Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Late-night talk show hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert have denounced the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at a college campus event in Utah Wednesday.
Authorities have said the gunman remains at large.
"Instead of the angry finger-pointing, can we just for one day agree that it is horrible and monstrous to shoot another human?" Kimmel wrote on Instagram hours after the Turning Point USA founder was killed.
"On behalf of my family, we send love to the Kirks and to all the children, parents and innocents who fall victim to senseless gun violence."
Colbert addressed the matter on Wednesday's edition of Late Show.
