Politicians across the political spectrum are reacting to the shooting death of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, on Sept. 10.
Kirk, 31, was shot during a question-and-answer session with students. The university confirmed the shooting and President Donald Trump confirmed Kirk's death in a post on Truth Social.
Utah Gov. Spencer Cox shared on X that he was being "briefed by law enforcement following the violence directed at Charlie Kirk." Cox said, "Americans of every political persuasion must unite in condemning this act."

Prior to announcing Kirk's death, Trump posted on Truth Social: "We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom."
