The Delhi High Court on Wednesday directed Priya Kapur, wife of late businessman Sunjay Kapur, to disclose details of all his movable and immovable assets till June 12, the day of his death. The court issued the notice after Sunjay’s two children with his former wife, actor Karisma Kapoor, challenged the validity of a will that purportedly bequeaths all of his personal assets to Ms. Priya.
The two children, Samaira Kapur, 20, and Kiaan Raj Kapur, 15, have alleged that the will purportedly executed by their father is “forged and fabricated”. Their petition has sought directions from the court to restrain Ms. Priya from acting on the contested will, thereby denying their inheritance. They said that as Class I legal heirs under Indian succession laws, they are entitled to their respective shares in their father’s estate.
