A mother had to wait five days for her four-year-old daughter's body to thaw after medics froze it without her consent.

Lauren Marsh, 33, said she was left 'heartbroken' when she discovered her little girl Bonnie's body had been frozen after her death, and that she could not see her until she defrosted.

The 'cheeky' youngster had been taken to hospital three times in the space of a week after suffering from vomiting and fainting. On her final visit to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital she could not be revived.

But as well as their grief, the couple have faced years of anguish due to repeated delays to the inquest into her death.

The formal hearing was first due in July 2025 before being pushed back to October due to witness unavailability.
