The estranged husband of tech company executive Kristin Cabot is speaking out for the first time after his wife was spotted cozying up to her boss at a Coldplay concert in July.
A spokesperson for Andrew Cabot, who is the CEO of Privateer Rum, told People in a Monday statement his client had been “privately and amicably separated” from Kristin Cabot for “several weeks” before the controversy erupted.
“Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” the spokesperson said. “Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued.”
They went on to note: “No further public comment will be made.”
Kristin Cabot, who served as chief people officer at Astronomer, sparked a media firestorm this summer when she and her company’s CEO, Andy Byron, were seen embracing on a kiss cam at Coldplay’s July 16 concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
