Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Drake London, Brock Bowers and George Kittle were among the NFL stars injured in Week 1 of the 2025 season. Those hurt in Thursday, Friday and Sunday games will be further evaluated to determine timelines for return.
Kittle was quickly ruled out because of a hamstring injury during the second quarter of the San Francisco 49ers' 17-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in Seattle.
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Kittle would receive an MRI scan to determine the extent of his injury. Kittle caught four passes for 25 yards and a score before his exit. He watched the remainder of the game from the sideline. Wide receiver Jauan Jennings departed early with a shoulder injury. He will also undergo imaging.
The 49ers (1-0) will take on the New Orleans Saints (0-1) on Sunday in New Orleans.
