In a case of international human trafficking, a 30-year-old woman from Bangladesh, who was trafficked into the city for prostitution, escaped and landed at the Hulimavu police station seeking help on Sunday (September 7, 2025).
The victim was in a semi-conscious state and approached a traffic policeman on duty seeking help. The policeman alerted his counterparts who took her to the station and upon inquiry, she revealed the details.
The victim told the police that she was lured by a gang promising a decent job and was brought to the city from Dhaka along with several others. The job offered was as a staff at a beauty parlour for a salary of ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 a month.

However, after landing at a house in HSR Layout, she realised she was in the wrong place. The victim told the police that the accused sedated her and sent her along with two men in a car.
