Father Ted creator Graham Linehan's grabbed a young trans activist's phone as a 'reflex' response to taunting about his divorce and family life, a court has heard.
The Irish comedy writer, 57, is on trial accused of harassing Sophia Brooks, 18, in a series of social media posts last year, which she said left her feeling 'alarmed and distressed'.
He is also alleged to have damaged her phone after throwing it across the road when the pair clashed at a conference in London in October last year.
IT Crowd writer Linehan has denied the allegations and is standing trial at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
The court heard that Linehan described student Ms Brooks, who sat in the public gallery today, as a 'malignant narcissist' and an 'absolute psycho'.
