Graham Linehan has arrived at court to face trial after he was accused of harassing a trans woman.
The Father Ted creator donned a placard declaring “There’s no such thing as a ‘Transgender Child’” outside Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Mr Linehan has denied harassing transgender activist Sophia Brooks on social media and a further charge of damaging her mobile phone.
The court appearance comes days after the comedy writer was detained over gender-critical posts on X.
The Metropolitan Police has faced intense criticism over the arrest and Sir Keir Starmer has said police should prioritise “the most serious issues”.
