Design is making a vibrant return this fall! The Maison&Objet trade show, dedicated to decorative accessories, is taking place in Villepinte, just north of Paris, from September 4 to 8, under the creative direction of Amélie Pichard, the designer known for her shoes and handbags. At the same time, Paris Design Week offers up a rich array of contemporary creations in galleries, museums and historic sites across the city, all open to the public free of charge from September 4 to 13.
"This Paris-region event, launched 15 years ago, primarily celebrates the new generation of designers, as Paris is home to about 10 top-tier schools, including the École nationale supérieure de création industrielle ["National School of Industrial Design"], the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs ["National School of Decorative Arts"], the École Boulle and the École Bleue. But for this anniversary edition, 375 venues are taking part, showcasing the discipline," said Pierre Gendrot, coordinator of Paris Design Week. Here's a look at the highlights of the 2025 edition, featuring both cutting-edge creations and joyful installations.
