The father of the three-year-old boy pulled from the rubble of the Lisbon tram crash has miraculously been found alive after he was mistakenly declared dead.
The family learned that the German father was among the injured at São José hospital, after it was reportedly locally that he died in the accident in front of his son.
The Hamburg family went to the Institute of Forensic Medicine yesterday after being told the 46-year-old, who has not been named, had died.
They were unable to identify him among the bodies, TVI/CNN Portugal reports.
A local officer took the family to the hospital in the Portuguese capital and discovered he was alive, among 21 injured in the crash.
