The road to Super Bowl 60 starts with a divisional matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys on "Thursday Night Football."

While the defending Super Bowl champions usually garner the most headlines, that hasn't been the case leading up to the Week 1 matchup. The Cowboys and owner Jerry Jones were embroiled in a months-long contract standoff with standout Micah Parsons, which led to a trade

With the Parsons saga ending, the spotlight is now firmly on new head coach Brian Schottenheimer, whose hiring raised many eyebrows in Dallas and beyond. Schottenheimer will replace head coach Mike McCarthy, whose teams routinely underperformed in the playoffs, leading to his ousting this offseason.

Underperformance isn't a word in the Eagles' vocabulary under head coach Nick Sirianni. With two Super Bowl appearances in three years and a Lombardi Trophy to show for it, it's been business as usual for Philadelphia this offseason.

With most of its DNA still intact – including 2024 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Saquon Barkley – the Eagles look ready to fly high once again in defense of their championship.
