With astounding bravery and gut-wrenching accounts of the hell they endured at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, dozens of survivors stood near the U.S. Capitol and implored President Donald Trump to stop calling the Epstein case a hoax.

“Mr. President Donald J. Trump, I am a registered Republican, not that that matters because this is not political,” Epstein survivor Haley Robson said. “However, I cordially invite you to the Capitol to meet me in person so you can understand this is not a hoax. We are real human beings. This is real trauma.”

Another exasperated survivor said, “Listen to us. This is not a hoax.”

Moments after that Sept. 3 news conference, our uniquely despicable president spoke to reporters in the Oval Office and again dismissed the Epstein case: “It's really a Democrat hoax. Because they’re trying to get people to talk about something that's totally irrelevant.”

With Trump, there is no bottom, but I have to believe that such disdain for these powerful and courageous women is getting us awful damn close.
