An architect who drove into a police officer while high on cocaine and cannabis at a dance music festival has been suspended.

Alan Green, 45, was still over the drug-drive limit when he tried to leave Creamfields Festival with his adult niece and nephew in the car, a disciplinary panel heard.

The senior architect bumped his Audi TT into the officer's leg in the busy car park -before telling them 'I'm not getting out unless you arrest me'.

Mr Green was also caught with ketamine and cocaine on him at the electronic dance music festival in Cheshire in August 2022.

The 45-year-old, who is director of A9 Architecture in Essex, had gone to Creamfields to 'let himself go', the committee heard.
