Yemen's Houthi movement said it launched a strike on Tel Aviv on Wednesday morning in its first response to Israeli airstrikes on the Yemeni capital overnight.
The Israeli military confirmed it had carried out attacks on Houthi targets in Sanaa, describing them as military sites linked to recent drone and missile launches toward Israel.
The Houthis, backed by Iran, cast the move as part of their effort to widen the conflict beyond Gaza.
