Seth Meyers on Tuesday delighted over President Donald Trump’s light public schedule in recent days, an itinerary that helped fuel rumors that his health was declining.
“But can I just say, in all sincerity, the week he wasn’t on camera, I never felt better,” quipped the “Late Night” host.
“I felt great! I felt great! I had that RFK Jr. energy, you know that energy where you just want to go do pushups in your jeans!”
Trump — who remained largely out of the public eye over the past week and stayed at the White House over the Labor Day holiday weekend, fueling speculation that he might be dead — took to his Truth Social platform on Sunday to declare that he “NEVER FELT BETTER” in his life.
The president has been spotted with swollen ankles as well as bruises on his hands, the latter of which have appeared to be covered up with concealer.
