Sept. 2 (UPI) -- The food giant Kraft Heinz announced plans to separate into two independent companies on Tuesday.

The first company will focus on shelf-stable meals and will house brands such as Heinz , Philadelphia, and Kraft macaroni and cheese. The second will include items such as Oscar Mayer, Kraft Singles and Lunchables.

It said the first company would have made $15.4 billion in net sales in 2024, while the second would have produced about $10.4 billion in net sales.

Neither of the new companies was immediately named.
