A grieving mother has died just two years after her son was murdered by his jealous fiancée who ran him over in a 'game of chicken'.
Lisa Watson passed away in November last year - after her son Ryan Watson, 24, was killed by his partner of three years, Alice Wood, 23, in May 2022.
He was struck at speed by the Manchester University philosophy student's car before she drove for another 524ft with him trapped beneath the front bumper.
Ryan's family has said that his murder was a 'major contributing factor' to Lisa's death from a pulmonary embolism.
His grandmother Sandra, who has now lost both her daughter and her grandson, told Stoke-on-Trent Live: 'We strongly feel that the decline in Lisa's health and the eventual loss of her was due to my grandson's murder.'
