The spokesperson for Italy for the Global Sumud Flotilla said Monday that the activists travelling on a group of ships and boats to take humanitarian aid to Gaza will not be intimidated after Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said the vessels will be seized and people onboard detained and treated like terrorism suspects.
"We are not stopping, we will go forward," said the spokeswoman, Maria Elena Delia.
"I hope, in case that Israel carries out arrests with hard jail time, that our government will intervene because we are Italian citizens and we are sailing in international waters.
"So Israel has no right to arrest us and seize our ships".
