Nigel Farage's mass deportation plans are not extreme politics, but an understandable reaction to successive governments' deliberate attempts to 'abolish the old Britain', Peter Hitchens says.

On Tuesday, the Reform UK leader announced 'Operation Restoring Justice' - his party's plan to deport all illegal immigrants and leave the ECHR (European Convention on Human Rights).

While the measures may be unworkable, Hitchens argued it would be unfair to describe Farage's policy platform as extreme – given it has been the 'deliberate policy' of successive governments to encourage large scale migration.
