Nigel Farage has unveiled his flagship plan for mass deportations if he becomes prime minister.

Known as Operation Restoring Justice, it would see anyone who arrives by small boat banned from claiming asylum in the UK, detained then deported – along with many others who have already settled in the country illegally.

Reform UK claims it would involve an outlay of £10 billion over five years and end up saving taxpayers as much as £42 billion over a decade as asylum hotels are closed.

The Daily Mail looks at the key points, costs and feasibility of each aspect.
