President Donald Trump on Thursday launched a new attack on Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) at a very unusual time: 2:12 a.m. ET.
Writing on Truth Social, the president shared a link to an Aug. 2024 story in which Moore said he made an “honest mistake” when he listed a Bronze Star from his military service on a White House application in 2006.
At that time, he had not received the award.
“But is that the end of his political career,” Trump wrote. “He was very disrespectful to the Office of the President!”
Moore had listed the medal on an application for a fellowship, later saying his commanding officer, Lt. Gen. Michael Fenzel, told him he had the necessary approvals and urged him to include it.
