Ganesh Chavithi celebrations in Telangana were welcomed with widespread rains across the State and Hyderabad city as roads were flooded, and at some places washed away, triggering traffic disruptions on the highways.
The rains extended across the combined Nalgonda district, covering Nalgonda, Suryapet, Bhuvanagiri, Yadagirigutta, Aleru, Rajapet, Motakondur, Turkapalli, and Bommalaramaram areas. Heavy showers in Nandanam of Bhuvanagiri mandal caused flooding at the Singireddygudem railway underpass bridge.
