Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged to be married, the couple announced Tuesday in a joint Instagram post.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” read a caption on the photos of Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, kneeling on one knee before the Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter in a garden full of flowers.
Swift is sporting a massive diamond ring in the images, which Scott Friedman, master gemologist appraiser at the International Gemological Institute, told HuffPost “appears to be an elongated cushion modified brilliant cut, weighing approximately 10-15 carats, set in a custom-made antique-inspired 18k yellow gold ring.”
Swift and Kelce, both 35, have been publicly dating since 2023 after the football player expressed romantic interest in her during an episode of the “New Heights” podcast he hosts with his brother, former NFL player Jason Kelce.
“I owe a lot to this podcast. This podcast got me a boyfriend ever since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago,” she said while appearing on the show earlier this month to announce her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
