The construction of a garbage transfer station at Kavundampalayam in Coimbatore city is progressing at a brisk pace. Built at a cost of ₹9.96 crore by the Corporation in Ward 33, the project has reached 70% completion.
“The sill level has been completed and roof work is to begin. Started three months ago, the project is expected to be completed in a month,” a senior Corporation official said.
