A teenage girl has died after 'becoming unwell' at a music festival in Belfast over the weekend.

Police have launched a probe into the sudden death of a girl - in her late teens - at the Emerge dance music festival, which was held at Boucher Playing Fields in the south of the Northern Ireland capital.

More than 70 acts performed over Saturday and Sunday, including Fatboy Slim and Bicep - the electronic DJ duo who hail from Belfast.

But the event - billed as Ireland's biggest electronic music festival - has been overshadowed by the death of the festivalgoer who died in hospital after becoming unwell on Sunday.

Two other people remain in hospital after also becoming ill at the event.
