Officials of various departments checked a container in Krishna district, and seized cigarettes being transported illegally on Monday. The accused was smuggling the stocks from Kolkata to Vuyyur in Krishna district, the locals said. Further investigation is on to ascertain the origin and destination of the consignment, the officials said.
