The Manur Government College started functioning from its Madhavakurichi campus on Tirunelveli – Sankarankovil Road as Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the college building through videoconferencing on Monday.
Following an appeal from Tirunelveli MLA Nainar Nagenthiran, the Tamil Nadu Government sanctioned the Manur Government College in 2021, which started functioning from July 2022 in the Panchayat Union High School at Mela Pillaiyarkulam with 288 students admitted in 5 undergraduate streams - Tamil, English, Commerce, Computer Science and Mathematics.
