A circus daredevil has been left seriously injured just weeks after the same Globe of Death stunt went horribly wrong in front of a shocked crowd.

Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 5pm on August 21 in Paignton Green, Devon, following reports of an injured performer during a Circus Extreme show.

The incident was later confirmed to have involved the infamous Globe of Death stunt in which several motorbikes are simultaneously ridden around a metal cage at speed.

One witness claimed that the accident had taken place as a result of a few of the stunt men crashing into each other mid-performance, leaving one performer seriously injured.

Spectators were immediately evacuated from the venue, with a number of individuals in the crowd left visibly upset by the ensuing incident.
