Former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” star Kate Gosselin has reacted to her son Collin’s recent comments about being “forced apart” from his siblings.
For context, Collin, 21, was separated from his seven siblings in 2016 when Kate sent him to Fairmount Behavioral Health Institute, which is a facility for children with “psychiatric and behavioral problems.”
Kate’s ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, wound up alleging that Collin had been “caged” at Fairmount and that he’d called his mom “abusive” — which Kate firmly denied.
In 2023, Collin claimed during Vice TV’s investigative miniseries “Dark Side of the 2000s” that Kate repeatedly took out her “anger and frustration” on him. “I mean, a divorce and plenty of different things that can’t be easy to go through,” he said. “And, you know, I want to think that she needed someone to take out her anger and frustration on, and it was just kind of me.”
