Pro-Israel activists were attacked while hanging posters of hostages on a fence at a left-wing encampment in Frankfurt, which hosts several pro-Palestinian organizations

Three activists advocating for those who hung posters of Israeli hostages next to an encampment housing several pro-Palestinian organizations were sprayed with red paint by masked people in Frankfurt's Grüneburgpark on Friday, according to Tagesschau, Germany's public broadcaster.

The report said that the encampment, called System Change Camp, is also housing several organizations that hold pro-Palestinian stances.

One of the activists attacked was Sacha Stawski, chairman of the Honestly Concerned initiative, which campaigns against anti-Israel sentiment in the media and politics.

Stawski said that the action was announced to the camp organizers. When placing the hostages' posters on the fence surrounding the encampment, he and two other activists were rushed by someone who sprayed them with red paint.
