One person died and two others sustained minor injuries while taking down wedding decorations at a residence in Lothukunta on Saturday evening (August 23).

The deceased has been identified as Lucky Gaikwad, 34. The Trimulgherry police booked a case and said that the incident was reported when a metal step ladder being used by the men came in contact with a live wire. Lucky was electrocuted and collapsed, suffering a fatal head injury as he fell with the ladder.
