A 32-year-old man was electrocuted while trying to fix a flex banner of a Ganesh idol installation at Ravindranayaknagar Colony on Sunday (August 31, 20245) evening. With this, the toll due to electrocution in Hyderabad over the last two weeks has reached 10.
The victim, identified as K. Bharat, an auto driver, climbed onto a nearby building to adjust the banner that had slipped near Banjara Cafe. In the process, a rod he extended came in contact with an 11 kV power line. He was thrown off balance and died instantly around 3.30 p.m.
