A Delhi Police team on Friday (August 22, 2025 visited Rajkot, Gujarat, and questioned five persons linked to Rajesh Sakaria, a local resident who was arrested for allegedly attacking Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during her Jan Sunwai programme on August 20.
Mr. Sakaria, 41, an autorickshaw driver from the Kotharia Road area, has been booked on charges of attempted murder. Investigators said that he was upset over the Supreme Court’s now-modified order to capture stray dogs in Delhi and shift them to shelter homes.
