Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gujarat on August 25 and 26 to inaugurate 1,449 houses and 130 shops built at a cost of ₹133.42 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) in Nikol, Ahmedabad. The project aims to provide modern homes to families living in slum areas.

Mr. Modi is likely to address a public gathering at Nikol between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m., following which he will stay overnight at Raj Bhavan in Gandhinagar. Sources indicate that he may also meet the BJP State leaders to discuss a potential Cabinet reshuffle and the selection of a new State party president.
