Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to unveil infrastructure, industrial, and cultural projects spanning several districts during his visit to Gujarat on Tuesday (March 31, 2026)
The visit will begin in Koba village of Gandhinagar district, where the Mr. Modi will inaugurate the ‘Samrat Samprati Museum’ at the Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra and address a gathering. Named after Samrat Samprati Maharaj, the museum is dedicated to Jain heritage and the principle of non-violence. It features rare artefacts, ancient manuscripts, sculptures and seven themed galleries, along with audio-visual installations.
From there, Mr. Modi will travel to Sanand near Ahmedabad to inaugurate an Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility set up by Kaynes Semicon at an estimated cost of ₹3,300 crore. The facility will undertake chip packaging and testing, with a projected production capacity of around 60 lakh chips per day.
Officials said the project is expected to bolster India’s semiconductor mission and strengthen Gujarat’s position as a manufacturing hub.
In the final leg of the visit, the Prime Minister will reach Lakhni taluka in the newly formed Vav-Tharad district, where he will address a public meeting and virtually inaugurate development and railway projects worth over ₹6,000 crore.
