Aug. 20 (UPI) -- The College Football Playoff committee on Wednesday announced its rankings schedule and adjustments and additions to metrics used to determine its criteria.
"All of these modifications will help the selection committee as they rank the Top 25 teams," College Football Playoff executive director Rich Clark said in a news release.
The first edition of the rankings will be announced at 8 p.m. EST Nov. 4. Additional rankings will be announced the next four Tuesdays. The final rankings revelation will be Dec. 7. Each edition of the rankings will be revealed on ESPN broadcasts.
The committee convened a data analytics panel and membership panel to assess policies, procedures and data analytics before instituting changes to tools they use to assess schedule strength and how teams performance against those schedules.
