Two people have been arrested north-west London after an ice cream seller was stabbed to death in broad daylight.

The Metropolitan Police has launched a murder investigation after officers were called to reports of a stabbing in Monks Park, Wembley, at around 6.10pm on Tuesday.

Shocked witnesses said they saw the victim being stabbed eight times.

A 41-year-old man was treated for stab wounds by the London Ambulance Service but died at the scene. His family have been informed.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder in the early hours of Wednesday, while a 31-year-old woman was also arrested at the scene for conspiracy to murder, the force said. Both individuals remain in custody.
