Owaisi submits notice opposing three bills that enable removal of PM, CMs and other elected representatives

Hyderabad parliamentarian Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) opposed the introduction of the three bills in the Lok Sabha that enable the removal of Prime Minister, Chief Ministers, Union Ministers and Ministers in States and Union Territories who are arrested and detained on serious criminal charges.

Speaking to The Hindu, Mr. Owaisi said that he has given notice to oppose the introduction of The Constitution (130th Amendment) Bill, 2025, The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2025 and The Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
