Sources say 56-metre-long railway engineering vehicle slipped backwards and pressed 20-year-old worker against wall
Sources said on Friday that police had received a report at 12.16pm about a worker who had been trapped by the 56-metre-long (184-foot-long) vehicle at the Siu Ho Wan depot at North Lantau.
They said the man was walking past the rear of the vehicle, but it suddenly slipped backwards and pressed him against a wall.
He sustained serious injuries to his left leg and waist area.
Other workers rushed to rescue him, according to the insiders.
