Members of the public observe a two-minute silence at the Cenotaph national war memorial to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VJ Day in London, Britain, 15 August 2025. VJ Day, or Victory over Japan Day, marks the 15th of August in 1945, when Japan surrendered to the Allied forces, ending the Second World War.
