Police have interviewed one of the commuters accused of assaulting a man who dropped his trousers in a packed London Underground carriage, the Daily Mail can reveal.
The vigilante, who has been praised by some and criticised by others, has been questioned by detectives from British Transport Police (BTP) after coming forward to give his side of the story.
BTP are appealing for witnesses and are trying to identify the other three men shown brawling with the man, who told them to 'f*** off' amid repeated requests to pull up his pants.
The man who exposed himself was initially arrested by an off-duty police officer having refused to cover up and then wielded his belt. But he was taken to hospital and later sectioned under the mental health act.
The focus of the investigation has now turned to those who confronted him because British Transport Police (BTP) believe the naked man was assaulted on the District line in east London last Thursday.
