I watch reality TV late at night, usually stretched out on my couch, trying to carve out an hour or two where the Gaza war, the breaking news, the human rights briefings don't follow me. In my dark living room, there is something consoling – and yes, ironic – about surrendering to shows like "Big Brother," "Love Is Blind," or "The Bachelor."
