Disappointment for Ho, who had narrowly missed out on a shot at gold, but city’s Cheung will contest wushu 70kg final on Tuesday

Hong Kong’s Tomato Ho Tze-lok was unable to give the city its fifth medal at the World Games in Chengdu on Tuesday, as she was defeated in the women’s squash bronze medal match.

Ho, who had gone so close to earning a place in the gold medal match in her narrow semi-final loss on Monday, could not lift herself again at the Hi-Tech Zone Sports Centre and was well beaten by Spain’s Marta Dominguez.

She also took a blow to the head for her trouble, receiving a smack from her opponent’s racquet as the pair collided.
