Sir Keir Starmer is to speak with Donald Trump after the US President warned Ukraine must do a 'land swap' with Russia as part of a peace deal.
The Prime Minister is set to join other European leaders for a videoconference with Mr Trump and US Vice-President JD Vance on Wednesday.
It will come ahead of Mr Trump's meeting with Russia's Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday, as he bids to bring to an end the three year-long conflict in Ukraine.
Speaking on Monday, the US President described his upcoming talks with Mr Putin as a 'feel-out meeting' to see if the Russian leader wants to do a deal.
'So I'm going in to speak to Vladimir Putin, and I'm going to be telling him, you've got to end this war. You've got to end it,' Mr Trump told reporters at the White House.
