Sir Keir Starmer will today meet with the 'coalition of the willing' ahead of crunch talks between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House next week.

The coalition - co-chaired by the British PM, France's President Emmanuel Macron and Germany's Chancellor Friedrich Merz - will hold a conference call on Sunday as European leaders assemble to push for a peace deal in Ukraine.

They will come together before Trump hosts the Ukrainian president in Washington DC on Monday.

The one-on-one in the Oval Office could pave the way for a three-way meeting alongside Russian leader Mr Putin, the US president has said.

It comes as Ukraine's future as a sovereign nation hangs in the balance after the US President's meeting with Vladimir Putin yesterday, which left Kremlin delegates grinning.
