Lok Sabha Speaker forms committee to investigate charges against Allahabad High Court judge Yashwant Varma for burnt currency notes.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on Tuesday (August 12, 2025) announced a three-member inquiry committee to probe the charges against Justice Yashwant Varma, an Allahabad High Court judge, from whose house wads of burnt currency notes were recovered in March.
The three-member committee includes Justice Arvind Kumar of the Supreme Court, Justice Manindra Mohan Srivastava, Chief Justice of the Madras High Court and Senior Advocate of Karnataka High Court B.V. Acharya.
