Minister for Civil Supplies Nadendla Manohar on Sunday accused the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) of making “baseless allegations” against the coalition government out of desperation, as its popularity rapidly declined.
Speaking to the media, he said the Pulivendula and Ontimitta ZPTC bypolls were being conducted democratically, ensuring voters could freely exercise their rights without fear. He praised Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s focus on public welfare and State development, which had created an atmosphere of “freedom and security” for voters. Expressing solidarity with the family of slain MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, Mr. Manohar lauded his daughter, Dr. Narreddy Sunitha, for her determined legal fight and said justice must be delivered in the “heinous” murder case. He noted that Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan shared this commitment and assured that there would be no compromise until justice prevailed.
Alleging that former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had done “grave injustice” to Dr. Sunitha, the Minister reiterated the State government’s full support to the family until the case is resolved.
