Families across the country have flocked to the beaches and parks to soak in the sun as temperatures soared to 30 degrees celsius in many parts of the UK.
Most areas saw the mercury shoot up to the mid to high-20s on Monday, with areas in the south east heating even higher temperatures.
And it's looking like perfect sunbathing weather with a fine Sunday set to be followed by 'strong August sunshine' across England and Wales in the new week, the Met Office said.
The rapidly rising temperatures might have a sting in the tail, however, as searing heat could also lead to isolate thunderstorms developing in the UK.
The UK Health Security Agency issued a yellow heat health alert from 12pm on Monday until 6pm on Wednesday, covering London, Yorkshire and the Humber, the East Midlands, east of England, the South East and South West.
