Nira Sharabi, whose husband Yossi was killed in captivity, spoke at a Saturday rally in Tel Aviv's Hostage Square, arguing that an Israeli offensive will put hostages' lives in danger.
"My Yossi was killed because of the intensity of the fighting. He was struck by an Air Force missile at the place where he was being held," she told the tens of thousands of demonstrators in the square.
"The decision the cabinet made to launch an operation to occupy Gaza knowingly puts the hostages' lives in danger," she said. "No woman should ever go through what I have gone through, or feel what I have felt. No woman should lose the love of her life."
